Proudly supporting Pancare’s 2023 #UniteforHope

We are proud to continue to support Pancare Australia's #UniteforHope events across Australia as the National Event Partner for 2023.
Pancare’s recent #UniteforHope Sydney event on Sunday 30 April 2023 was a vibrant day at Newington Armoury that brought together the Pancare community where everyone rallied behind this important cause, raising much needed awareness and funds for upper gastrointestinal cancer research and support services.
#UniteforHope is a fundraising walk where every step taken and dollar raised helps Pancare provide more than just hope – it funds patient support services such as support groups, awareness, education resources, financial assistance programs and more.
Despite the challenges of fighting against upper GI cancers or supporting loved ones going through it, the atmosphere was optimistic and full of hope with food trucks, face painting, music, giveaways and most importantly, passion to fight for an important cause.
We were delighted to support the Pancare community by handing out reusable tote bags filled with goodies, including lollipops and stress balls.
However, our support goes well beyond just supporting the event – we have collaborated with Pancare over a number of years to create a mutually beneficial partnership that helps the Pancare Foundation to conduct their vital operations.
Pancare's Head of Commercial, James Stewart, is appreciative of the contribution saying “Tangerine is an invaluable partner to Pancare. Since first supporting our foundation in 2019 they have been passionate about raising awareness of upper GI cancers and have helped us to raise significant sums of money that is put directly into helping patients and funding research. Without corporate partners like Tangerine we simply cannot do the work we do to help those who suffer these horrible cancers.”
For every new Tangerine nbn® plan or mobile SIM-only plan signed up by a Pancare community member via our dedicated Pancare sign-up page, Tangerine donates $125 for an nbn® connection and $50 for a mobile SIM-only plan straight to the foundation.
The Tangerine-Pancare partnership was born when we lost a long-time friend and sales partner, Peter Back, after a short but courageous fight against pancreatic cancer. After seeing our friend succumb to this devastating disease, we were motivated to take action in Peter’s memory in the way of forging an ongoing and meaningful partnership with Pancare.
We look forward to continuing to grow our partnership with Pancare and to continuing to take part in their future #UniteForHope events and other fundraisers.
