A Fixed Wireless connection delivers nbn® through a wireless signal sent from a transmission tower located in a customers area. This connects to an aerial (outdoor unit) on the customers roof which then terminates at a Network Termination Device (also known as a nbn® Connection Box) inside the customers property.

nbn® Connection Box - will be fixed to an internal wall in a location agreed between the customer and the nbn® technician, and where a 240v power source is within a distance to allow for direct connection (with no extension cables or power boards)

Outdoor Unit (ODU) – is installed on the roof with the antenna pointed at NBN Cos fixed wireless tower

Connection Cable – is installed between the ODU and the nbn® Connection Box. A standard installation covers no more than 30m of cable. If the installation requirements exceed the above specifications, then it will be considered a non-standard installation and additional charges may apply.

^ 200-250/8-20mbps and 400/10-40mbps are the theoretical maximum speeds attainable on these plans. Speeds attainable on nbn® fixed wireless services will vary due to factors such as nbn® cell congestion, weather, geography, line of sight to the tower, local conditions, vegetation, building obstructions, signal interference, the model of Network Termination Device installed at your property, the type and installation of antennas and the position and quality of Wi-Fi hardware. Actual speeds will be significantly impacted by congestion, particularly during typical busy periods (7-11 pm)
